BIOGRAFIA

INÍCIO

Após muitos anos procurando pelos músicos certos, o guitarrista e vocalista LEON MANSSUR “NECROMANIAC” funda a banda em 1998. Ela reflete sua vivência então de 15 anos na cena, incluindo o repertório próprio acumulado entre 1985 e 1998, que a partir de daí vem sendo registrado.

A primeira gravação é uma demo-ensaio independente em 1999. Faixas dela aparecem em algumas coletâneas (Planet Metal, In Search of Weird Truth e Thrashing Rage, todas esgotadas) e no vinil 7" Maximum Metal Mayhem, pela gravadora Iron Bonehead, da Alemanha, em 2001, posteriormente reeditado pela Hell Music em 2011.

O primeiro álbum "ONLY DEATH IS REAL..." é gravado em 2000. Desde então, já foram 4 prensagens de CD, 3 prensagens de LP e 1 em tape, num total de mais de 6.000 cópias vendidas no meio independente por selos de 4 países. No lançamento, em 2000, a banda abre o primeiro show do Krisiun no Rio de Janeiro, para um público de aproximadamente 1.000 pessoas.

No início de 2001, o jovem baterista do FARSCAPE, PEDRO ROCHA "SKULLKRUSHER", junta-se à banda, e assim fazem shows nos 4 estados do sudeste, incluindo abertura para o guitarrista alemão FRANK BLACKFIRE (SODOM, KREATOR) , mantendo um público médio de 500 pessoas.

ESTABILIZAÇÃO

Entre 2002 e 2003, passam a se dedicar exclusivamente à música, produzindo com recursos próprios o segundo álbum "THE RETURN OF THE SATANIC RITES", que desde então já teve 2 prensagens em CD, 2 em LP e 2 em tape, vendendo ao todo mais de 4.000 cópias.

Seguem-se mais de 10 shows, com média de público de 1.000 pessoas. Entre eles, produzem a volta de VULCANO e CHAKALno Rio, com FARSCAPE, DIABOLIC FORCE e FLAGELADÖR; tocam em Belo Horizonte com HEADHUNTER D.C.; e em SP com MAUSOLEUM, EM RUÍNAS e UNHOLY FLAMES.

A banda passa o ano de 2004 preparando o repertório do terceiro álbum, mas no fim do ano o baixista A. AGUINAGA "SUB UMBRA" é substituído por VINÍCIUS CANABARRO "HELLPREACHER". Voltam a São Paulo e tocam novamente com VULCANO e ATOMIC ROAR, que conta com os vocais de HELLPREACHER.

Em 2005 produzem e lançam "THE THIRD STORM - WORLD WAR III" em CD e LP pela Dark Sun. O álbum teve até agora 2 prensagens em CD, 2 em LP, e 1 em tape, num total de 4.500 cópias.

Em 2006, organizam e tocam no SLAUGHTER FESTIVAL 2, no Rio de Janeiro, que teve a participação de 10 das mais releventes bandas do estilo, incluido COMANDO NUCLEAR, SODOMIZER, BLASTHRASH, WARDEATH e OVERLORD (Paraguai). Produzem o show do MYSTIFIER no Rio,além de mais de 10 apresentações como banda principal, em SP, RJ, ES, MG e DF, para platéias variando entre 500 a 2.000 pessoas.

Em 2007, abrem novamente para o KRISIUN, dessa vez ao lado do TORTURE SQUAD. No meio do ano, SKULLKRUSHER é substituído por MÁRCIO CATIVEIRO 'SLAUGHTERER', e cumprindo a agenda seguem-se shows com nomes como OCULTAN, COMANDO NUCLEAR e AGATHOCLES.

A ERA DAS TURNÊS E A HELL MUSIC

No início de 2008, coroando 10 anos de atividades, acontece a primeira tour brasileira, junto com o FARSCAPE. São 14 shows pelas 5 regiões do Brasil em 50 dias. Nessa tour, com VICTOR VASCONCELLOS 'WHIPSTRIKER' do FARSCAPE no baixo e HUGO GOLON (SIDE EFFECTS, CEMITÉRIO, INFECTED e outras) na bateria. (Ambos haviam desempenhado o mesmo papel nas apresentações brasileiras e DVD do TOXIC HOLOCAUST de 2006.)

No mesmo ano, depois da tour, a agenda de shows passa a ser ainda mais intensa.
NECROMANIAC, HELLPREACHER e SLAUGHTERER tocam para 1.000 pagantes na seletiva do WACKEN no Rio, além de Cuiabá-MT (batendo o recorde de 3 horas de show!), Roça’n’Roll em Varginha-MG, e abrem para o POSSESSED em SP, eventos contando com mais de 3.000 pessoas.

Em 2009, paralelamente a mais shows no RJ (com FARSCAPEe MATANZA) e SP (interior e capital), produzem o quarto álbum, intitulado "VOL. 4 - PHONOCOPIA".

Com o lançamento, em 2010, pelo selo próprio HELL MUSIC, em parceria com Moribundo, Urubuz, Paranoid e Hell's Headbangers (USA), segue-se uma tour de 30 datas em quase 3 meses por todo o Brasil, Bolívia, Peru, Equador e Colômbia. O álbum teve uma tiragem inicial de 2.000 CDs, 1.000 LPs e 888 cassettes.

Nos anos seguintes, fazem mais shows pelo Brasil com GRAVE DESECRATOR, COMMUNION (Chile), EJECUTOR (Chile), WHIPSTRIKER, ATOMIC ROAR, EM RUÍNAS, COMANDO NUCLEAR , e também no festival Zoombie Ritual edições de 2011 e 2012, com VULCANO e VIOLATOR, entre muitos outros.

A banda apareceu no tributo brasileiro ao DISCHARGE e gravou um clipe de "Decontrol".

Em 2012, é lançado pela HELL MUSIC o split 7"EP APOKALYPTIC WAR, com o WARHAMMER (Alemanha), durante a turnê da banda pelo Brasil. Em seguida, o split 7"EP HELL NOISE, com o AGATHOCLES (Bélgica).

Iniciando 2013, tocam com os canadenses SKULLFIST. Acelera a composição do material para o quinto álbum e mais. No segundo semestre, SKULLKRUSHER retorna à banda. Sai pela HELL MUSIC o split 7"EP ISN'T WAR GREAT? , com o FARSCAPE, contendo gravações de 2002. Terminam o ano abrindo para o M:PIRE OF EVIL banda de MANTAS (VENOM) , entre outros shows.

Em 2014, seguem-se mais 2 split 7" EPs sendo lançados, dessa vez com ATOMIC ROAR, contendo material extra das gravações do Vol.4, e com WHIPSTRIKER contendo material das gravações de The Third Storm. Trabalham em novas composições e em mais shows pelo sudeste, incluindo o Guaru Metal Fest com o POWER FROM HELL. O baixista original SUB UMBRA faz uma participação especial, em um show especial com 2 baixos. No mesmo ano, acontece a primeira turnê pela Europa, com FARSCAPE e WHIPSTRIKER, passando por 7 países.

Em 2015, alguns shows locais, e uma mini-tour pelo Chile, que originou um disco ao vivo, lançado em 2018. No final do ano, abrem para o BENEDICTION (Inglaterra).

Em 2016, continua o trabalho de composição e relançamentos dos primeiros trabalhos em CD e LP. Aparecem no tributo ao HEADHUNTER D.C., e fazem a segunda turnê européia, desta vez com WHIPSTRIKER, abrangendo também Escandinávia e Reino Unido, num total de 10 países. Nessa tour, SAURON (do CAVERNA) tocou o baixo e HUGO GOLON (do CEMITÉRIO e muitas outras bandas) tocou bateria.

Em 2017 nova turnê pelo nordeste do Brasil (com SAURON e SKULLKRUSHER) e São Paulo, e gravam o novo álbum.

Em 2018, o álbum ao vivo gravado em 2015 no Chile é finalmente lançado em LP pela Hell Music e é ironicamente intitulado "Why we play such good shows pt.1". O novo álbum de estúdio chamado "The Pentagram" é lançado em 2018 no Brasil pela Hell Music (CD) em no resto do mundo pela Hell's Headbangers (CD,LP, tape). O show de lançamento é no SATAN'S REVENGE FEST 2018 com GRAVE DESECRATOR, WHIPSTRIKER e VELHO.

Em 2019 seguem-se mais shows pelo Brasil, ora com SKULLKRUSHER, ora com HUGO GOLON e é lançada pela Goat Vomits (BOL) a compilação EVEN DEATH IS NOT REAL pt.1 com todos os EPs até o momento + faixas extras em capa especial, enquanto se iniciam os trabalhos no álbum seguinte...

THE BEGINNING

After many years looking for the right musicians, LEON MANSSUR “NECROMANIAC”, guitar and vocals, starts the band in 1998. It reflects then his 25 year experience in the scene, including own songs from 1985 to 1998, that have been recorded since.

The first recording is a self-financed rehearsal-demo in 1999. Tracks from it appear in some compilations (Planet Metal magazine, In search of Weird Truth tape from Japan and Thrashing Rage CD-R from Germany, all sold out) and in the 7"EP MAXIMUM METAL MAYHEM, on Iron Bonehead from Germany, in 2001, later re-pressed by Hell Music in 2011.

First album "ONLY DEATH IS REAL..." is recorded in 2000. Since then, there were 4 CD pressings, 3 LP pressings and 1 on tape, a total of 6,000 copies sold by labels in 4 countries. In the album release they opened Krisiun's first show in Rio, for 1,000 people audience.

In 2001, young Thrash Metal drummer PEDRO ROCHA, a.k.a. "SKULLKRUSHER" from FARSCAPE joins the band. Following this, they played some gigs in the 4 states of southeastern of Brazil, including opening to FRANK BLACKFIRE (SODOM, KREATOR), to a mean audience of 500 people.

GOING PRO

Between 2002 and 2003, the band goes pro and produces and releases the second full-lenght, the self-financed "THE RETURN OF THE SATANIC RITES". Since then, there were 2 pressings on CD, 2 on LP and 2 on tape, selling more than 4,000 copies.

More than 10 shows follow, with a mean audience of 1.000 people. They produce and play in the comeback gig of VULCANO and CHAKAL in Rio with FARSCAPE, DIABOLIC FORCE and FLAGELADÖR. They play with HEADHUNTER D.C. in Belo Horizonte, and with MAUSOLEUM, EM RUÍNAS and UNHOLY FLAMES in São Paulo.

The year 2004 is spent in composition for the third album, but in the end of that year VINÍCIUS CANABARRO "HELLPREACHER" replaces bass player A. AGUINAGA "SUB UMBRA" and then they play again in São Paulo opening to VULCANO, also with ATOMIC ROAR, featuring HELLPREACHER on vocals.

In 2005 they produce and release "THE THIRD STORM - WORLD WAR III". The album has sold 4.000 copies in 2 CD pressings, 2 LP pressings and 1 tape pressing.

In 2006, they produce and play in SLAUGHTER FESTIVAL 2, in Rio de Janeiro, which included 10 of the most relevant bands in the scene, like COMANDO NUCLEAR, SODOMIZER, BLASTHRASH, WARDEATH and OVERLORD (Paraguay). They produce and play in the MYSTIFIER show in Rio, and they play more than 10 gigs as headliners in many cities in the 4 states of Southeastern Brazil, as well as in the capital city Brasília, in middle Brazil, to crowds that range from 500 to 2.000 people.

In 2007, they are guests opening to KRISIUN again, this time with TORTURE SQUAD. In the middle of the year, drummer SKULLKRUSHER is replaced by MÁRCIO CATIVEIRO "SLAUGHTERER", for scheduled gigs with OCULTAN, COMANDO NUCLEAR and AGATHOCLES.

TOURS AND HELL MUSIC

In the beginning of 2008, the first brazilian tour celebrates 10 years of activities. It is a joint effort with FARSCAPE. There are 14 dates on every region of continent-sized Brazil in 50 days. In this tour VICTOR VASCONCELLOS "WHIPSTRIKER" played the bass and HUGO GOLON the drums. (Both were also on the brazilian tour and DVD of TOXIC HOLOCAUST in 2006.)

In the same year, after the tour, the gig schedule becomes even more intense. NECROMANIAC, HELLPREACHER and SLAUGHTERER played to 1.000 people in the WACKEN selection in Rio, in Mato Grosso state (with an impressive 3 hour show), and also at Roça'n'Roll Open Ain in Minas Gerais state, and opened to POSSESSED in São Paulo, to more than 3.000 people in each event.

During 2009, while doing more gigs in Rio and São Paulo states, they produce the fourth album, entitled "VOL. 4 - PHONOCOPIA" . Following its release in 2010, on the band's own label HELL MUSIC, together with labels Moribundo, Urubuz, Paranoid (Brazil) and Hell's Headbangers (USA), there is a 3-month, 30-show tour of Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia. The first print run is 2.000 CDs, 1.000 LPs and 888 cassettes (on Goat Vomits - Bolivia).

In the years that follow, they do more shows in Brazil with such names as GRAVE DESECRATOR, COMMUNION (Chile), EJECUTOR (Chile), WHIPSTRIKER, EM RUÍNAS, COMANDO NUCLEAR , and also in Zoombie Ritual open air fest, 2011 and 2012 with VULCANO and VIOLATOR, among many others.

The band appeared in the brazilian DISCHARGE tribute and made a self release video clip of "Decontrol".

In 2012, HELL MUSIC releases the split 7"EP APOKALYPTIC WAR, with WARHAMMER (Germany), during their brazilian tour. Right after that, another split 7"EP is released, entitled HELL NOISE, with AGATHOCLES (Belgium).

Starting 2013, they played with canadian band SKULLFIST. Composition for the fifth full-lenght gains momentum. In the second half of that year, SKULLKRUSHER re-joins the band. HELL MUSIC releases the split 7"EP ISN'T WAR GREAT? , with FARSCAPE, with unreleased recordings from 2002. They end the year opening to M:PIRE OF EVIL, from MANTAS (VENOM), among other concerts.

In 2014, 2 more split 7" EPs are released, one with ATOMIC ROAR, with outtakes from Vol.4, and another with WHIPSTRIKER, with outtakes from The Third Storm. More new songs are composed, and more shows happen in Southeastern Brazil, including Guaru Metal Fest with POWER FROM HELL. Original bass player SUB UMBRA does a guest appearance with the band in a special show with 2 bass players. In the same year, the first European tour with FARSCAPE and WHIPSTRIKER, going to 7 countries.

In 2015, they do some local shows and a mini-tour of Chile that gave rise to a live album released in 2018. By the end of that year they open to BENEDICTION.

In 2016, as the new compositions continue to develop, there are CD and vinyl re-releases of the first albums, and they are also featured on the HEADHUNTER D.C. tribute. In November, the second european tour, now with WHIPSTRIKER, this time going also to Scandinavia and UK, in a total of 10 countries. In that tour, SAURON (from CAVERNA) played the bass and HUGO GOLON (from CEMITÉRIO and many other bands) played the drums.

In 2017, they tour again Northeast Brazil (with SAURON and SKULLKRUSHER) and São Paulo and record the new album.

In 2018 the live album recorded in 2015 in Chile is finally released on LP by Hell Music and it is ironically called "Why we play such good shows pt. 1". The new album called "THE PENTAGRAM" is released in 2018 by Hell Music (CD, Brazil) and Hell's Headbangers (CD, LP, tape, world). The release show is in SATAN'S REVENGE FEST 2018 with GRAVE DESECRATOR, WHIPSTRIKER and VELHO.

In 2019, more shows through Brazil with both SKULLKRUSHER and HUGO GOLON and the compilation EVEN DEATH IS NOT REAL pt.1 of all EPs to date + extra tracks is released by Goat Vomits Recs (BOL) in a special edition cover, while works on the next album begin...
